My goal in individual therapy is to create a space that is safe enough for you to push yourself to do what you need to do to effect change. I consider safety and challenge the cornerstones of therapy. Without safety; we cannot risk. But without risk, we cannot change.
You and I together will discuss what brought you in and what your goals are. I was trained as a psychodynamic talk therapist, meaning that I focus on the interplay of emotions, thoughts, life experiences, and belief systems in order to effect change. I incorporate both cognitive behavioral techniques and brainspotting in order to facilitate that change.
